Concussion Management Training for Coaches

On March 29, 2011 Colorado Governor Hickenlooper signed in to law Jake Snakenberg Youth Sports Concussion Act. The bill requires that coaches receive education about concussion, that an athlete is removed from the field of play if a concussion is suspected and that the athelete be signed off by a healthcare professional before returning to play. The Act took effect January 1, 2012.

All head coaches and all assistant coaches must complete the training curriculum each season and submit the Certificate of Completion to the Board of Directors to become eligible to coach. Any prior season's certificates will not be accepted.

IMPORTANT: Print a copy of the certificate of completion for your records and email a copy of your certificate to mail@lovelandbaseball.org.
